How sajili Keeps You Safe
Responsible gaming isn't a checkbox for sajili — it's a core part of how we operate. Here's what we actively do to protect every player on our platform.
Age Verification (21+)
Every new sajili account goes through mandatory age verification before real-money play is enabled. We require a government-issued Philippine ID — such as a PhilSys card, passport, or UMID — to confirm you are 21 years of age or older, as required by PAGCOR.
Deposit Limits
Set daily, weekly, or monthly deposit limits directly from your sajili account settings. Once a limit is set, it takes effect immediately and cannot be increased without a mandatory 24-hour cooling-off period — protecting you from impulse decisions.
Session Time Limits
Choose how long each gaming session can last. When your set time is up, sajili will send you a notification and, if you have enabled hard limits, will automatically log you out of your session so you can step away and take a break.
Self-Exclusion
If you feel your gaming is getting out of control, you can self-exclude your sajili account for a period of 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, or permanently. During self-exclusion, you will not be able to log in, deposit, or receive any marketing from sajili.
Reality Checks
sajili's reality check tool displays a summary of your current session — how long you've been playing and your net win or loss — at regular intervals you choose (every 30, 60, or 90 minutes). This keeps you grounded and aware of your actual gaming activity.
24/7 Support
Our responsible gaming support team is available around the clock via live chat. Whether you need help setting limits, want to start a self-exclusion, or just need someone to talk to about your gaming habits, we're here — no judgment, just support.
What Is Responsible Gaming?
Responsible gaming means enjoying casino games, slots, sports betting, and other forms of wagering as a leisure activity — while maintaining full awareness and control over the time and money you spend. It is the practice of treating gambling as entertainment, setting clear personal boundaries, and recognising when gaming is no longer fun.
At sajili, responsible gaming is not just a legal requirement — it's a value we genuinely believe in. We know that the overwhelming majority of our Filipino players enjoy the platform recreationally without any issues. But we also know that a small percentage of people can develop problems with gambling, and those players deserve our full support and the tools they need to get back in control.
sajili's responsible gaming programme is built around three principles: Awareness — helping you stay informed about the risks; Control — giving you the tools to manage your own gambling activity; and Support — connecting you with help the moment you need it.
Healthy gaming looks like this: You play for fun, not to chase losses. You set a budget before you start and stick to it. You take regular breaks. You never borrow money to gamble. Gaming is one of many leisure activities in your life, not the main one.
21+ Age Policy
Under PAGCOR regulations governing online gambling in the Philippines, the minimum legal age to participate in any real-money gaming activity is 21 years old. sajili strictly enforces this policy across every stage of the player journey.
When you register a sajili account, you are required to declare your date of birth. Before your account is approved for real-money play, our KYC team will verify your age against a valid, government-issued Philippine identification document. Accepted documents include:
- Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) / PhilSys National ID
- Philippine Passport
- Unified Multi-Purpose ID (UMID)
- Social Security System (SSS) ID
- Driver's Licence (issued by LTO)
- Voter's ID / Voter Certification
- Postal ID
Any account found to belong to a person under 21 years of age will be immediately suspended, all balances will be forfeited, and the matter will be reported to the appropriate authorities as required by law. sajili takes this policy with the utmost seriousness — no exceptions, walang palya.
Zero tolerance for underage gambling: If you are a parent or guardian and suspect a minor has accessed the sajili platform using your account or their own, please contact our support team via live chat immediately. We will investigate and act swiftly to protect the minor involved.
Recognising the Warning Signs
Problem gambling can develop gradually and can be difficult to notice in yourself. The following are common warning signs that your relationship with gaming may be moving in an unhealthy direction. Being honest with yourself about these signs is the first and most important step toward getting help.
Financial Warning Signs
- Spending more than you can afford on gambling
- Borrowing money from family or friends to gamble
- Neglecting bills, rent, or other financial obligations
- Selling possessions to fund gambling
- Chasing losses — gambling more to try to win back what you've lost
Behavioural Warning Signs
- Lying to family or friends about how much you gamble
- Feeling restless or irritable when not gambling
- Gambling to escape problems or feelings of anxiety
- Neglecting work, school, or family responsibilities
- Failed attempts to cut down or stop gambling
If you recognise two or more of these signs in your own behaviour, we strongly encourage you to use sajili's self-exclusion or limit-setting tools immediately, and to reach out to a professional counsellor or helpline. You are not alone — problem gambling is a recognised condition that responds well to the right support.
Quick Self-Assessment
The following questions are adapted from internationally recognised problem gambling screening tools. Be honest with yourself as you read each one. If you answer "yes" to three or more questions, we encourage you to contact our support team or reach out to a professional gambling helpline.
Do you often find yourself thinking about gambling — planning your next session or reliving past wins and losses — even when you're not playing?
Have you ever needed to gamble with larger and larger amounts of money to feel the same level of excitement or satisfaction?
Have you tried to cut back on or stop gambling, but found it difficult or impossible to follow through on that decision?
Do you gamble when you are feeling stressed, anxious, depressed, or to escape problems in your everyday life?
After losing money, do you feel a strong urge to return and gamble more to try to win it back — sometimes called "chasing losses"?
Have you hidden the extent of your gambling from family members, friends, or colleagues, or lied about how much time or money you spend on it?
Has gambling caused significant problems in your relationships, work performance, financial situation, or mental health?
If you answered "yes" to 3 or more questions: Please consider using sajili's self-exclusion tool and contacting our responsible gaming team via live chat. Professional support is available and effective — there is no shame in asking for help.
sajili's Player Protection Tools
sajili provides a comprehensive suite of responsible gaming tools that are available to every registered player at no cost. All tools can be accessed directly through your account settings. Here is a full overview of what's available:
Deposit Limits
Set a maximum amount you can deposit per day, week, or month. Limits take effect immediately. Increases require a 24-hour waiting period to prevent impulsive decisions.
Session Time Limits
Restrict how long you can play in a single session. When the limit is reached, you'll receive an alert and optionally be logged out automatically.
Loss Limits
Set the maximum amount you are willing to lose in a given period. Once your loss limit is reached, your account is paused for the remainder of the period.
Reality Checks
Periodic pop-up summaries showing your session duration and net result — every 30, 60, or 90 minutes. A gentle nudge to stay aware of how long you've been playing.
Cool-Off Period
Take a short break from sajili for 24 hours, 48 hours, or up to 7 days. Your account is temporarily suspended and all marketing is paused during the cool-off.
Self-Exclusion
A longer-term break option from 1 month up to permanent exclusion. Full details in the dedicated section below.
How to access these tools: Log in to sajili, navigate to Account Settings → Responsible Gaming. All tools are available there. If you need help setting any limit, our live chat support team is available 24/7 and can assist you directly.
Self-Exclusion
Self-exclusion is the most powerful tool available to players who feel they need a significant break from gambling. When you self-exclude your sajili account, the following happens immediately and without exception:
- Your account is locked — you cannot log in via sajili Login or any other access point.
- All pending deposit requests are cancelled and returned to your payment method.
- Your remaining balance is returned to your verified payment method (GCash, PayMaya, BPI, BDO, Metrobank, etc.).
- All marketing communications — emails, SMS, push notifications — are stopped immediately.
- You are blocked from creating new accounts on the sajili platform during the exclusion period.
Self-exclusion periods available at sajili are: 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, and Permanent. Once a self-exclusion is active, it cannot be reversed before the chosen period ends — this is intentional and is designed to protect you.
To initiate self-exclusion, go to Account Settings → Responsible Gaming → Self-Exclude, or contact our live chat support team who will process the exclusion for you immediately.
Permanent self-exclusion: If you choose permanent self-exclusion, your account will be closed indefinitely. This decision cannot be reversed. sajili strongly recommends permanent self-exclusion for players who have a confirmed gambling disorder or who have previously relapsed after a shorter exclusion period. Your long-term wellbeing matters more to us than your wagering activity.
After Self-Exclusion
We also strongly recommend that players who self-exclude consider installing third-party gambling blocking software such as Gamban or BetBlocker on all their devices, and reaching out to a professional gambling counsellor. Self-exclusion is a powerful first step, but it works best when combined with professional support and technical safeguards across all platforms.
Protecting Others in Your Household
If you share a device or household with individuals who should not have access to gambling platforms — including anyone under 21, or a family member who is in recovery from a gambling problem — there are steps you can take to prevent accidental or deliberate access to sajili.
- Never share your sajili login credentials with anyone, including family members. Your username and password are personal and confidential.
- Enable device-level parental controls on any device used by minors. Both Android and iOS have built-in parental control settings that can restrict access to gambling websites and apps.
- Use third-party filtering software such as Net Nanny or Kaspersky Safe Kids to block gambling-related content at the network level in your home.
- Log out of sajili after every session, especially on shared or family devices. Never save your password in a browser that others can access.
- Talk to your family about responsible gambling. Open, honest conversations about the risks of gambling are one of the most effective protective factors, especially for younger family members.
Support Resources in the Philippines
If you or someone you care about is struggling with a gambling problem, professional help is available in the Philippines. Reaching out to a counsellor or helpline is a sign of strength, not weakness — and it is often the most important step on the path to recovery.
NCMH Crisis Hotline
The National Center for Mental Health (NCMH) of the Philippines operates a 24/7 mental health crisis line. If gambling-related stress is affecting your mental health, their counsellors are trained to help. Hotline number: 1553 (toll-free, 24/7).
PAGCOR Responsible Gaming
PAGCOR (Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation) has a dedicated Responsible Gaming programme that provides resources, guidelines, and referrals for Filipino players experiencing gambling-related difficulties. Visit the PAGCOR website for more information.
Gamblers Anonymous Philippines
Gamblers Anonymous (GA) holds regular meetings throughout Metro Manila, Cebu, Davao, and other cities across the Philippines. GA is a free, peer-support group for people who want to stop gambling. It follows a 12-step programme and welcomes anyone who has a desire to stop.
sajili Live Chat Support
Our trained responsible gaming support agents are available via live chat 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If you need to set limits, start a self-exclusion, or just want to talk through your concerns confidentially, we are here — average response time is 3–5 minutes.
You can also email us: Send your responsible gaming request or concern to [email protected] with the subject line "Responsible Gaming Request." All such emails are handled by dedicated, specially trained staff with strict confidentiality.
PAGCOR Regulation & Our Obligations
sajili operates within the regulatory framework established by PAGCOR — the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation — which is the government agency responsible for regulating and licensing online gaming in the Philippines. PAGCOR's responsible gaming guidelines form the foundation of sajili's player protection programme.
Among our regulatory obligations under PAGCOR's framework, sajili is required to:
- Enforce the 21-year minimum age requirement for all players and verify age through KYC processes before allowing real-money play.
- Maintain a responsible gaming policy that is publicly accessible and clearly communicated to all players.
- Provide self-exclusion mechanisms and ensure that self-excluded players cannot access the platform.
- Train all customer-facing staff on responsible gaming principles and problem gambling identification.
- Cooperate with PAGCOR in any investigation involving player welfare concerns.
- Display responsible gaming messaging prominently on the platform, including age restriction notices.
sajili takes these obligations seriously and goes beyond the minimum requirements wherever possible. We believe that a sustainable, trustworthy gaming platform is one that puts the long-term wellbeing of its players first — not just during onboarding, but throughout every player's journey on sajili.
